Colac follows six interconnected tales unfolding across Port Adelaide, where ordinary lives collide to form one larger story.

Each one stands on its own, but the same streets, working harbour, old shopfronts and passing faces keep drawing the characters closer together.

A kidnapped dog, a dying pianist searching for her first piano, a young man lost in his own dream world, a mother and daughter recovering from a serious accident, a policeman with dreams of comedy, and an antique shop encounter over an old vase.

Across the film, small choices and chance encounters begin to overlap.

By the end, the six stories lead toward one shared place: Colac Hotel.
